During a linux installation, something went wrong with the boot, and the the laptop just starts at "automatic repair".
Answers if you partitions are untouched from factory, you can create your own recovery media. search on you computer about Acer erecovery and follow instruction to create it or you can do the same using built-in windows software (if your laptop has windows 8.x) I'm not an Acer employee. thanks for the reply.
youneed at least 20GB for fresh install else it will fail. you can erase the C partition when doing afresh install. Helloall, I recently purchased this Acer Aspire 5 slim used and I wanted to factory reset the laptop but when I click on the recovery and click the option to "Remove Everything" a pop up shows with the message "Could not find recovery environment" "Insert your windows installation or recovery media, and restart your PC with the media."
Recentlyinstalled a new copy of Windows 10 to my Aspire 5 and incidentally lost the Acer Care Center and so forth. I was hoping to simply reinstall but it doesn't seem to be available on Acer's website. If you didn't use the Acer recovery media to clean install Windows, you probably lost the recovery partition and all the software.
